Stories

The SEVE brand tells the story of Seve, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of the world's most creative, exciting, and unique player that the world of golf has ever seen.

This game, once described by Seve himself as 'a great and very strange game', was mastered by Seve, an artisan of golf, who did things with his hands and a club that no other player has dared to do before or since. Seve played the game with his own mind and is forever loved for it.

Be part of stories to tell & stories to wear!

During the 1970-1980s, Slazenger V-neck sweaters sold in millions, leading to significant profits and global brand recognition for both Slazenger and SEVE. The classic V-necks were called Slazenger Courtelle, made from 100% acrylic. During the development of this project, we purchased some of them on eBay, and it’s clear that the fabric is not very comfortable.

As we identified some of Seve's strongest personal characteristics as sophistication and determination, he desired something different.

Seve had Slazenger produce his special sweater in cashmere, and the Slazenger crew had to hand-sew the panther on the chest and the neck labels in the back. He could have settled for wool, but cashmere was his choice. In a limited edition, you can (Release July 22:nd) now buy an exclusive SEVE X SLAZENGER cashmere sweater in his honor so you can tell this story to your friends!

Let us share a story about a young Seve embarking on the tour without proper rain gear. Sunderland of Scotland generously offered Seve rain gear free of charge, likely drawn by the new Spanish player's charisma, and possibly because they noticed that Seve didn't invest his money in rain gear. This occurred before he secured his major titles and rose to iconic golf star #1 and SEVE promised to play Sunderland forever. As time passed, when Seve become the world's greatest and most celebrated golfer, he outgrew Sunderland of Scotland's marketing budget. However, the great SEVE reassured them not to worry, suggesting they pay him what they could afford, and the partnership continued for the rest of his career. While this remarkable story has been shared privately, it has yet to be revealed to the public. To celebrate this great story, the Sunderland of Scotland x Seve collaboration will is here as Sunderland of SEVE. See the iconic rainjacket here.

The Seve House

SEVE's house tells so many stories and it is preserved exactly as it was when SEVE lived there. The house is situated on a hill overlooking his home course and the entire bay.
Here, we take you on a small part of everything that exists in the house; click the door and see more and more to come…

In SEVE's Garage

He used to work on his clubs. There is an old picture from that time which we have recreated with SEVE's son Javier. If you find that original picture, you will notice that all the machines and equipment have been preserved. If you can find the original picture on Instagram, make a story, tag us (@sevecollection) and we will send you a gift!

In SEVE's Trophy room

In SEVE's trophy room, you can feel the golf history. In this picture, Javier reads SEVE's scorecard from the final round of The Open in 1984. This scorecard was donated by the R&A and includes all four rounds, with the last one holding the marker's (Bernhard Langer) signature! Yet another iconic piece from this amazing house! This scene is part of the movie on the first page.

In SEVE's Pool house

For us, SEVE is the Greatest Of All Time! Being a part of these pieces of history is truly amazing. Just look at this iconic Seve bag with his signature and the legendary SEVE Blade irons. In many of our pictures from playing the collection at SEVE's home club, we used vintage SEVE blades. This picture was shot in the bar by the indoor pool.

In SEVE's Living room

Here is Roberto Ballesteros checking out one of his uncle SEVE's old clubs. The collection of clubs is truly spectacular and contains both vintage woods and more modern clubs. Roberto is wearing the Pedreña pants and Big Icon polo together with the belt, all in tonal navy, just as SEVE was often seen wearing on Sundays!
