La marca SEVE cuenta la historia de Seve y se dedica a celebrar el legado del jugador más creativo, emocionante y único que el mundo del golf haya visto jamás.

Este juego, descrito por el propio Seve como «un juego magnífico y muy extraño», fue dominado por Seve, un artesano del golf, que hacía cosas con las manos y un palo que ningún otro jugador se ha atrevido a hacer antes ni después. Seve lo jugaba con su propia mente y es recordado por ello.

The Young Seve

The film about Seve depicts a remarkable person who grew up with limited resources and without the means to become a professional golfer. Yet, he did, and the rest is, as they say, history!

The brand SEVE is about creating and telling stories that you can share and embody on the golf course, knowing that you might create your own story. When we did our photoshoot in Pedreña, we aimed to continue creating stories. In the photos, you see his son, some former professional golfers, golf entrepreneurs, and Seve's nephews, all gathered to honor Seve and contribute new stories.

The bottom picture of a young Seve with friends is a great way to summarize the feeling of this project there is a huge SEVE family out there, and we hope you want to be a part of this family and collection. One of the fantastic people who helped us was José Luis Gutiérrez, who played the young Seve in the film. José Luis took time off from his job as a doctor at a hospital in Santander to join us for the photoshoot a great story to be told!

Durante la década de 1970 y 1980, los suéteres de cuello en V de Slazenger se vendieron por millones, lo que generó importantes ganancias y reconocimiento global tanto para Slazenger como para SEVE. Los clásicos suéteres de cuello en V se llamaban Slazenger Courtelle y estaban hechos 100 % de acrílico. Durante el desarrollo de este proyecto, compramos algunos en eBay, y es evidente que la tela no es muy cómoda.

Como identificamos algunas de las características personales más fuertes de Seve como la sofisticación y la determinación, él deseaba algo diferente.

Seve encargó a Slazenger la confección de su suéter especial en cachemira, y el equipo de Slazenger tuvo que coser a mano la pantera en el pecho y las etiquetas del cuello en la espalda. Podría haberse conformado con lana, pero la cachemira fue su elección. En una edición limitada, ya puedes (lanzamiento el 22 de julio) comprar un suéter de cachemira exclusivo SEVE X SLAZENGER en su honor para que puedas contarles esta historia a tus amigos.

Compartamos la historia de un joven Seve que se embarcó en el tour sin el impermeable adecuado. El Sunderland de Escocia le ofreció generosamente el impermeable, probablemente atraído por el carisma del nuevo jugador español y posiblemente porque notaron que Seve no invertía su dinero en él. Esto ocurrió antes de que consiguiera sus títulos de major y se convirtiera en la icónica estrella del golf número uno, y SEVE prometió jugar en el Sunderland para siempre. Con el tiempo, cuando Seve se convirtió en el golfista más grande y célebre del mundo, el presupuesto de marketing del Sunderland de Escocia se le quedó pequeño. An early morning in May 2024 on SEVE's beach in Pedreña, we captured SEVE's son Javier in this unique collab rainjacket.The beach that is home to the legendary images of SEVE is actually called Somo and is located a sliced driver away from SEVE's home club.

SEVES pantalones (Pants)

Looking at SEVE some 40 years later, we find him fashionable, with clothes that fit great, and looking almost up to date. Rosario, who has been SEVE's loyal assistant since the 80s and has seen it all, told us a story. What Rosario doesn't know about SEVE is probably not worth knowing. After so many years side by side with the family and SEVE, she will retire on a very special day, July 22nd, the anniversary of SEVE's Open win in 1984, and also the day when the SEVE Collection will launch. It's all about stories, real stories!

Yes, right, we almost forgot—we were going to tell you a story about his pants. The reason SEVE's pants looked great in the 80s is that he used a local tailor in his hometown Pedreña to achieve the perfect fit and look. When producing our pants, we prioritized this legacy to find the perfect fit and look. Unlike then, we make all our pants in stretch material with an updated design. Naming our pants Pedreña Pants was for us both an honor and an obvious choice.

Dublin Pocket Polo Shirt

The Irish Open Championship in 1983 is a win we have spent some time researching. Seve used a fantastic red polo shirt with the classic chest pocket.

The red color is not included in this collection, but the rest of the style is clearly inspired by this win and his Sunday outfit.

Runner-up to Seve is another golf fashion legend, Brian Barnes, sometimes seen on the course in shorts with knee socks and a smoking pipe. The Irish Open in 1983 was played at the Royal Dublin Golf Club. We are excited to see our collection presented in their shop as well as on their staff at the launch on July 22, 2024!

Naming one of our Polo shirts to “Dublin pocket polo” was really a nobrainer. The shirt comes in 5 colors in 4-way stretch with UV-protection and with the perfect fit for a golfer! Seve would probably use a Medium or for a tighter fit he would use a Small. Seve was 1,83 cm and always fit!

Esta tarjeta, donada por la R&A, incluye las cuatro rondas, ¡y la última lleva la firma del autor (Bernhard Langer)! ¡Otra pieza icónica de esta increíble casa! En la casa de la piscina de SEVE

Para nosotros, ¡SEVE es el mejor de todos los tiempos! Formar parte de estos momentos históricos es realmente increíble. Basta con mirar esta icónica bolsa de Seve con su firma y los legendarios hierros SEVE Blade. En muchas de nuestras fotos jugando con la colección en el club de SEVE, usamos hierros SEVE vintage. Esta foto se tomó en el bar junto a la piscina cubierta.

En el salón de SEVE

Aquí está Roberto Ballesteros mirando uno de los palos antiguos de su tío SEVE. La colección de palos es realmente espectacular e incluye tanto palos de madera antiguos como palos más modernos. Roberto lleva el pantalón Pedreña y el polo Big Icon junto con el cinturón, todo en azul marino a juego, ¡tal como solíamos ver a SEVE los domingos!

Real Golf de Pedreña – club local de SEVEs

El club de Seve en Pedreña ofrece magníficas vistas, hoyos variados y un ambiente acogedor. Estamos muy agradecidos por la hospitalidad recibida y por el cariño que compartimos por Seve. Aquí pueden ver algunas de las fantásticas vistas que capturamos al realizar las fotos promocionales de la Colección Seve. En la imagen inferior central, pueden ver a Wilhelm Schauman, comentarista de las retransmisiones del PGA Tour de Discovery Channel Suecia y exjugador del European Tour. A la derecha de Will, vemos a su hermano Gustav, quien nos acompañó en Pedreña y nos proporcionó generosamente zapatos de golf de su marca Goatlane, con la firma GOAT en la suela, un merecido homenaje a Seve. En las fotos superiores, Javier juega algunos hoyos bajo el sol del atardecer, y las imágenes hablan por sí solas. Si tienen la oportunidad, jueguen en este campo, que muchos consideran entre los 100 mejores de Europa; ¡entendemos por qué!

The Ballesteros

Dogs have always been a part of the SEVE family, and after SEVE's passing, his dog (named Phil) stopped barking for months because he missed his owner.

Making all these stories come to life is a blessing for us. Meeting the family and the dogs is just as familiar as you can imagine from a warm-hearted family.

This is Javier Ballesteros (wearing a Dublin Pocket Polo shirt) in front of SEVE's house in Pedreña with his two beloved dogs, Bola and Monty. Carmen, SEVE's daughter, also has a dog, and as an end to all stories, we just learned she is called Capi!
